Yerington's Top-Secret Spot

The history of the 6D began for four university freshmen in August of 1968 at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. The first year of college for Ralph Gates, Rod McMullen, Steve Wilbur and Dee Stuckey was without question a year of amazing experiences. It was filled with adventure, learning and fun in ways they had never experienced before. 6D was their apartment address and was a base, nest and lair for the first year of freedom as adults.

6D was a place filled with attitudes of bonding, camaraderie and collective learning about life together. They even named themselves the 6D Crusaders with a motto of “all for one, one for all!” This motto applied to all things including parties, pursuit of the opposite sex and an attitude of “us against the world.” When you come to the 6D Speakeasy, you will find yourself in a place of fun, familiarity and friends. The motto “all for one, and one for all” lives among all who raise a glass in friendship here together.
